A mammoth plate photographic print of a framed presentation piece consisting of calligraphic text around a photographic print and framed by carved wood. The photograph at center is of a man and woman at a redwood tree bearing the name plate "Otto von Bismark". The text includes a long poem in German describing walking through the woods and coming upon this tree. The montage is dedicated to Bismark "from one of his admirers in San Francisco, Calif."
